Hi Everybody!
Gosh, I am exhausted, but I wanted
to write and let you all know how the delivery went. :-) Turned
out pretty well actually. I was a bit bummed when I got there and
the lady, Alice, that I was supposed to meet had called in sick.
:-( But it was actually pretty fun, anyway. I met a lady from
Newfoundland, who had a grandson in the NICU. His name is Bryce
and he just had an operation on one of his eyes. He is only 5
months old and they think he will only have 20% vision if he is
lucky and they can save that much. How sad, eh? But I was really
happy when she told me how beautiful the blankets were (I had them
in a big clear plastic garbage bag) and how she was so glad that
there would be something other than the boring white sheets that
are there right now. :-) The nurse who took all the boxes and the
big bag of blankets from me was called Liz and I got my pic taken
with her. I also took some pics around the hospital, in the NICU
and the Atrium. So, I have all those to share with you and the
pics of the actual items donated. I sorted them all into piles of
hats, booties, hat & bootie sets, blankets, clothing
(sleepers, ponchos), toys, videos, etc. Wow, was this ever a great
delivery, ladies!!! You really outdid yourselves!!! :-)
Anyway, I arrived at the hospital
at about 10:30 and was out in about 20 min. I would have liked to
get a little tour around, but ... oh well. Then, my mom, dad,
little sis, and I went out to lunch at one of our fave restaurants
nearby ... Well, all in all, it was really a beautiful day. Thank
you all so much for helping me to do this. I am very proud to part
of this group!
Luvs & Hugs,
